Chubb Showcase Advanced Fire Products at QME 

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, July 28 2010 – Chubb Fire & Security showcased the next generation in fire detection and suppression technology at the 2010 Queensland Mining and Engineering Exhibition (QME), Australia’s premier exhibition for the mining industry, held in Mackay July 27-29.

Products displayed include:

[a] PEFS, a Pre Engineered Foam Spray vehicle system used in the mining, forestry, construction, rail and agricultural industries to protect mobile and transportable equipment. PEFS was the first AS 5062 compliant fire protection system listed on CSIRO’s ActivFire Register of Fire Protection Equipment;

[b] FM200 Waterless Fire Protection System helps protect critical assets by providing Rapid extinguishment with a system discharge in 10 seconds or less  while minimising collateral damage to the property or equipment by not leaving behind any residues. FM200 is also easy to store and safe around people as it does not deplete oxygen levels so it is safe for use in occupied areas.

[c] SENATOR, a highly sophisticated ‘next generation’ of High Sensitivity Aspirating Smoke Detection product that has been designed to ensure that installation and commissioning is as simple as possible, while optimizing performance; and

[d] Holmatro CORE™ hydraulic rescue tools and equipment used by Emergency Services and Rescue teams in a variety of emergency situations such as road accident rescue, trench support and forced entry to name a few.
